The Regents arrived in Oberwesel

Saturday, March 2nd of 2024 and we are arriving in Oberwesel. After a long trip, some of us already arrived on Friday, the Regents are seeing each other again after months of preparation for the 40th Anniversary session of the International Student Leadership Institute. Tomorrow night, we will finally kick-off ISLI.

The Student Regents are the driving force behind our wonderful program. They were elected after last year’s ISLI to organize this year’s session. In October they came together for the first time during a preparatory weekend. During this weekend they divided tasks in order to prepare the International Student Leadership Institute in 2024.

Today, they met again. And they were happy! Of course, last year they were all here, but many of them were in different color groups. A color group is the group in which they come together throughout the whole week and experience leadership and practice their skills. As they were all in different groups, they now are finally coming together as an exemplary group of young leaders.

How did our Saturday look like? When everybody arrived, we got through the schedule of Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday the Regents prepared the lenyards for the participants, they divided all the supplies for each color group so they have everything they needed and - of course - they prepared newsbreak

What is Newsbreak about? That is something you will definitely find out Tomorrow. Tomorrow is the day for ISLI. While the Regents are finalizing their presentations for Monday, they are super excited to meet the participants, the facilitators and observers.

Sleep tight!
