The 2025’s Student Regents

BELGIUM

Birte is 16 years old and likes to tell her international friends that she is from the country with the best chocolate in the world! She is currently studying Modern Languages, as that is a passion of hers. Birte plays the piano and bass guitar and is actively involved in a youth movement.

HUNGARY

Zsófia is 18 years old and passionate about cars, motorsport, and fencing. As a future aerodynamics and mechanical engineering student, she also loves playing drums and listening to music. She values teamwork, growth, and ISLI’s unique, unforgettable spirit. That’s why she is one of 2025’s senior regents.

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Abigail is currently in 11th grade at Ramstein High School and aspires to become a Nuclear Engineering Officer in the U.S. Navy and later contribute to sustainable space exploration. Passionate about leadership, science, writing, and art, she values teamwork and cultural exchange, lessons deepened through ISLI.

THE NETHERLANDS

Daniëlle, or Daan to her friends, is a 15-year-old studying culture and society. A competitive dancer, avid traveler, and music lover, she dreams of studying in England. Passionate about art, history, and snowboarding, she values creativity and adventure while embracing diverse cultures and languages.

SWEDEN

Ell, a social sciences student from Gothenburg, is passionate about psychology, creative writing, and music. An advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and climate action, they enjoy poetry, singing, and Dungeons & Dragons. With dreams of publishing a poetry book and performing in musical theater, Ell embodies creativity and compassion.

BELGIUM

Hannelore Poulin, a 16-year-old Belgian regent for ISLI 2025, is passionate about music, playing violin, and dancing. A curious learner of science and math, she thrives on creativity and discovery. As a summer camp counselor, she loves creating joyful experiences, embodying leadership and teamwork learned at ISLI.

GERMANY

Johanna, a 16-year-old from Germany, is passionate about history, art, and travel. A creative and curious person, she enjoys painting, volunteering, and exploring new cultures. Having studied in New Zealand, Johanna thrives on learning, teamwork, and making connections—values she embraces at ISLI.

FINLAND

Kiti Nieminen, a 17-year-old from Finland, combines her love for math and English with a passion for volleyball, youth leadership, and creative expression. Social yet reflective, she thrives on teamwork, performing skits, and embracing her unique style. ISLI empowered Kiti to lead confidently and authentically.

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Lucy, a globally-minded 17-year-old, has lived in multiple countries but calls the U.S. home for her aspirations in Public Policy and local politics. Passionate about Scouts, MUN, and volunteering, ISLI helped Lucy grow as a leader and fulfill her dream of inspiring others through teaching and teamwork.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Martina Olivíková, 15, from the Czech Republic, is a dedicated student at Slovanské Gymnázium Olomouc with a passion for chemistry, math, and languages. An aspiring chemical engineer and avid traveler, Martina balances academics with DofE challenges and contemporary dance, embracing creativity and personal growth in all she does.

HUNGARY

Milán Fekete, a passionate Hungarian regent for ISLI 2025, excels in languages, leadership, and music. With a love for volleyball, bartending, and fitness, he aims to inspire others and create his own company. Milán is dedicated to personal growth, global connections, and empowering others to achieve their dreams.

GERMANY

Philipp Engeli, a 17-year-old student from Hamburg, Germany, is passionate about IT, cybersecurity, music, and sports. Currently studying at Helene-Lange-Gymnasium, he aims to pursue a career in cybersecurity. Philipp's ISLI experience helped him build confidence, develop leadership skills, and embrace his true self.

THE NETHERLANDS

Stephanie Coelho van de Ven, a 16-year-old from Rosmalen, Netherlands, is a passionate musician, athlete, and aspiring engineer. Fluent in Dutch, Portuguese, and English, she plans to serve in the military before studying engineering at TU Delft. Stephanie is eager to return as a Regent at ISLI 2025 to further develop her leadership skills.

BELGIUM

Zander Ceunen, a 16-year-old student from Sint-Franciscus College, is passionate about economic sciences, mathematics, sports, and cybersecurity. An avid tennis player, swimmer, and endurance athlete, Zander is eager to pursue a career in cybersecurity. He is excited to return as a Regent for ISLI 2025.
