Meet Stephanie

Stephanie Coelho van de Ven is a vibrant 16-year-old from Rosmalen, the Netherlands, bringing her multicultural roots and passion for teamwork to the ISLI 2025 team. Born in Brazil, Stephanie moved to the Netherlands as a child, a journey that gifted her fluency in Dutch, Portuguese, and English, as well as a global perspective that shapes her approach to leadership and collaboration.

Currently a student at Gymnasium Beekvliet, Stephanie has her sights set on a future filled with adventure and challenge. She plans to spend a year in the military after graduation — a bold step that she hopes will teach her invaluable lessons and provide experiences she couldn’t find elsewhere. Beyond that, she envisions pursuing engineering at TU Delft, though she keeps her options open as she explores her many interests.

Stephanie’s passion for the arts is evident in her musical pursuits. A talented pianist, guitarist, and vocalist, she recently started a band where she can combine her love for music with her desire to perform. Having transitioned from competitive dancing to volleyball, she knows how to embrace change and find new outlets for her creativity and energy. She now balances playing volleyball three times a week with regular gym sessions, showing her commitment to both physical and mental strength.

But it’s not all action for Stephanie. In her quieter moments, she enjoys reflective walks, often at sunset, with music in her headphones. These walks allow her to step back, recharge, and see the bigger picture — a habit she values as much as her busier pursuits.

Stephanie credits ISLI with reigniting her passion for leadership and public speaking. Her time at ISLI taught her to embrace her authentic self and step confidently into roles where she could inspire others. This newfound enthusiasm led her to join her school’s debate club, where she is now competing in the Dutch national championship.

As a Regent for ISLI 2025, Stephanie is excited to create a meaningful experience for participants. She looks forward to helping them discover their own strengths, embrace new opportunities, and grow into confident leaders. With her rich mix of talents, experiences, and a dedication to fostering connection, Stephanie is ready to make ISLI 2025 an unforgettable journey for everyone involved.
