Navigating the Future: ISLI 2024 Celebrates 40 Years of Leadership
The anticipation is building, and the excitement is palpable as we approach the 40th anniversary of the International Student Leadership Institute (ISLI) in 2024. This edition holds special significance as we celebrate four decades of shaping young leaders and navigating through the ever-evolving landscape of leadership education.

Established in 1982, ISLI has been a beacon of inspiration and growth for aspiring leaders across Europe. The past few years posed challenges, with a hiatus of three years due to the global pandemic. However, the Institute is back with renewed vigor, ready to face the future head-on.
The pivotal year of 2023 showcased the enduring importance of ISLI's values, driving us to update and enhance our program. Today marks a momentous occasion as we unveil our fully refurbished website, a testament to our commitment to bringing ISLI into the 21st century.
Launching a website might seem routine, but for us, it's a strategic move to align with the evolving needs of the digital age. The world has changed, and so has ISLI's role as a torchbearer of young leadership. Our new website is a window into our mission — a mission that has remained unwavering throughout the years.
ISLI's core mission revolves around leadership development in a dynamic, young, and inspiring environment. Each year, we welcome over 100 high school students from across Europe, providing them with a unique learning experience led by their contemporaries.

To further enhance our digital presence and adapt to the ever-changing landscape, we are thrilled to welcome Elian to our Board. Elian proved great contributions to ISLI 2023 where he guided the group of Regents alongside our Director Tom Rubbens and his fellow Senior Regent Joy Stock.
In his daily life in Belgium, Elian is an entrepreneur in media business whilst finishing his academic journey as a Master in History at the KU Leuven. His expertise therefore really lies extends into the digital realm of storytelling. He will spearhead our website and social media campaigns. At ISLI 2024, Elian will have the opportunity to introduce himself before the General Assembly, seeking their approval and support.
As we count down to the milestone of 40 years, ISLI is not just celebrating its past but laying the foundation for a future where young leaders can continue to flourish and shape the world. Here's to 40 years of leadership, learning, and limitless possibilities at ISLI!
